5:30-7:00 p.m. Stars of Hope for ages Nursery through 12th Grade During school year through April unless a school holiday Fun, crafts, movin’ music, dinner, Bible exploration, new skills, relationships geared for the appropriate age group $1 per child every Wednesday for dinner

Wednesday Wonders – Fall and spring - 6-7 p.m. Family supper and Bible study
Harvestfest – October (usually third Sunday afternoon) - Family fun with food and activities

Other Activities
  • Supports parenting education efforts of Su Casa de Esperanza, family life center
  • Has an instrumental ensemble which anyone who plays an instrument is welcome to participate for special music during worship service.
  • Serves free popcorn and bottle water to Central Middle School students who gather at our basketball court on Wednesday after school.
  • Sponsors Venture Crew 9 for guys and girls ages ages 14-21. Part of the Boy Scouts of America program.
  • Hosts First Presbyterian Church of Athens, Alabama in June and join them to build homes for the poor in Mexico
  • Hosts other groups traveling to Rio Grande Valley or Mexico to perform community service
  • Serves lunch to teachers and staff at Central Middle School and Louise Black Elementary, our neighbors, before school starts each year
  • Is Presbyterian Youth Connected
  • Interacts with other church members and leadership through small group clusters
  • Participates in regional cluster of churches which meets several times a year
  • Participates with San Pablo Presbyterian Church in Weslaco, Principe de Paz Presbyterian Church in Mercedes, and Vida Eterna in Donna in mission, worship and fellowship activities
  • Shares church facilities with the Love of Christ Lutheran Church.
Handicap Accessible

Classrooms, restrooms, kitchen, fellowship hall, front lawn, sidewalks and parking were remodeled from 1999 through 2001 and the sanctuary was re-furbished in 2002. The First Presbyterian Church of Weslaco is now fully handicap accessible.
